Applications
Contractors may have reduced work, and workers may be severed, for any number of reasons. The intent of the BCFRT is to provide mitigation only when that loss of work can be directly linked to tenure take back related to the BC Forestry Revitalization Act. Loss of work due to reasons such as market forces, forest fires, the softwood lumber issue, efficiencies caused by the merger of companies, or general AAC reductions, are not eligible for mitigation from the BCFRT.
